Play Matters Strategy - May 2010 The Trustees of Play Matters are currently reviewing the organisation's strategy, assisted by Hilary Barnard of the Centre for Charity Effectiveness at Cass Business School. This exercise involves looking at current and future needs, demand for services, and how Play Matters can focus on what it does best. Themes from the discussions include: Identifying Play Matters as a development agency for play resource providers and provision with toy libraries at the heart Helping toy libraries and other providers to be successful with knowledge and information via the website and other media (e.g. Facebook) Establishing how Play Matters reaches out to toy libraries and other play providers who are not in membership Avoiding confusion through using one title in future - Play Matters
If you would like to contribute your ideas to the discussion of the strategy, please email Pauline Henniker at p.henniker@playmatters.co.uk. The Trustees expect to adopt a new strategy at their 17 July meeting. There will be discussion of how the strategy is being implemented at the November AGM. Are you a member?
