The International Toy Library Association
The INTERNATIONAL TOY LIBRARY ASSOCIATION (ASSOCIATION INTERNATIONALE DES LUDOTHEQUES) was created in 1990 in Torino during the 5th international conference of toy libraries. It has been found necessary to get a permanent link structure. The decision to form ITLA was taken on May 28th l987 at the 4th International Conference of Toy Libraries in Toronto. ITLA is registered under the Belgian law as a non-profit international organisation open to any association or individual who supports the goals. The Association is presently governed by a team of 11 Board of Directors.

Merry Go Round Toy and Leisure Library - Exeter
Merry Go Round Toy & Leisure Library is a registered charity which runs two toy libraries in Exeter. Our first toy library, Merry Go Round, opened 9 years ago and is based in Exeter Scrapstore on the edge of Belmont Park. This proved to be so popular with families, carers and children that in November 2006 we opened a new branch, Carousel Toy Library, in West Exe Children's Centre in St Thomas.

The purpose of CTA is to promote healthy development of the toy industry by acting as the liaison between Chinese government and the industry.CTA routinely provides information and holds training seminars on toy safety,product designing and market development.CTA organizes international toy fair in Shanghai and organizes China Pavilion at Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair,Spielwarenmesse International Toy Fair, Nurnberg and American International Toy Fair annually.CTA keeps good communication with the government.The government usually consults CTA on issues affecting the toy industry.
The general management functions of CTA are performed by the President and the Secretariat. The Secretariat is based in Beijing.
