Quality play matters Toy libraries are not quite like any other service, each is different and unique. Such specialist services demand a specialist award. We have worked with a number of toy library networks to develop a quality assurance scheme that will support new and existing services in reviewing and developing their practice.
How Quality Play Matters works Quality Play Matters is an easy-to-use scheme. We believe that good support is essential; therefore this is not a self-assessment scheme. There are seven separate sections, each with a tabbed 'lead card' and you may freely photocopy the cards for your own use. You can choose to do the sections in any order. Each questions has discussion points and clear guidance on what you need to cover in your response. Different people can gather information then everyone can come together to discuss and agree the final response. One person working alone might complete the scheme quickly but your toy or leisure library will benefit most if as many people as possible are involved - staff, volunteers and service users. Simply choose the most appropriate method for submitting your evidence. We are extending our range of training courses in line with Quality Play Matters to make sure you will succeed.
