NATLL's Good Toy Guide 2006/2007 is a consumer magazine of toys
appraised by toy librarians around the UK. Detailed descriptions, advice
of the toys' use, age, appropriateness, play value, durability and safety.
Games Pack for Extended Schools games club

The Association has long been associated with quality play and learning
and we have brought together a team of people to develop this Games Pack
to support the DfES extended schools initiative.

with Game Cards (2002) These large activity cards show
games and activities developed by a group of 3 to 7 year olds. |

Playing and Learning at Home (2003)
A resource pack for 3 to 5 year olds and their parents and carers, containing
large activity cards with simple, fun ideas, linked to the foundation
stage curriculum, to try out at home.

Toys and Play in Child Development (1995) This popular booklet is a guide to toys and play activities at each stage
of a child's development from birth to 7 years. Produced in conjunction
with the British Toy & Hobby Association and includes a summary chart.
Special Needs issues are addressed in detail by the following
publications:
- Play Matters for Adults Too (1999)
- A resource booklet comiled by the users of a Leisure Library, from
the suggestions of members throughout the UK. This booklet contains
useful information on colour coding and cataloguing processes as well
as specific items of equipment.
- Special Needs Suppliers List (revised 2005)
- An index of manufacturers, retailers, wholesale and direct/catalogue
sales companies providing toys and equipment for babies, children and
adults with special needs.
- Switch Into Action (2000)
- This publication explains how to increase
the play potential of toys and play equipment for children and adults
with special needs by using simple switch devices.
